Felicia Syer NicolCo - President
Felicia is working on her Master’s in Integrative Biology at the University of Guelph studying prescribed burn management in the oak savannah-woodland complex of Pinery Provincial Park. She is passionate about protecting the many rare (and common!) species and ecosystems of Lambton County. She has always loved nature and remembers going on spring wildflower walks in Mandaumin Woods with Lambton Wildlife as a child. Felicia is currently the Co - President and Earthways Editor.
Justin NicolCo - President
A lifelong love of plants and nature led Justin to complete a diploma in Horticulture and go on to pursue his own career in landscaping. As the owner and operator of Natures Way Nurseries, Justin is very knowledgeable about plants and trees and loves to share his experience and skills with others. He also enjoys hiking, making maple syrup and honey as well as growing chemical free, organic vegetables. Justin is currently the Co-President.
Lyn has always had deep wonder of the natural world propelling her to study biology and receive a master's degree. With a great curiosity of the connection between all things, she continues to learn as she goes. She was thrilled to discover LWI and awed by the knowledge and expertise that members freely share. Lyn loves both the indoor and outdoor events, and never tires of recommending them to others. She is also editor of a green industry magazine. Lyn is currently the Treasurer.
Mary MartinPast - President
Mary has a degree in geography and has always had an interest in nature. As a high school teacher she attempts to instill an understanding of the natural world and introduce young people to the unique characteristics of our region. Volunteering with LWI has enabled Mary to assist local people make a positive impact and actively work toward preserving and enjoying our natural heritage. Mary is the past - president and the Indoor Presentation Committee Head.
Having always been fascinated by nature and gardening, It seemed fitting for Nick to eventually pursue a livelihood in ecological restoration. He has been working with Return the Landscape since 2012 as a Landscape Technician/Designer, and is passionate about restoring our natural heritage with native plants. Nick is currently the Secretary of the LWI Board of Directors.
