Lambton Wildlife Inc. needs volunteers to begin site preparation for planting native plants at Mandaumin Woods Nature Reserve. Date: November 4, 2020 at 9:30 a.m.
Please wear long pants, work gloves, closed toed shoes, and bring your own mask to wear in the event that social distancing is not possible.
We will be removing small brush with loppers (branch pruners) and picking up garbage. Several pair of loppers and garbage pickers will be available for use but please bring your own if possible. Due to COVID-19 sharing loppers or garbage pickers will not be permitted
Meeting Location: The nature reserve is located on the west side of Mandaumin Road, less than a kilometer south of the village of Mandaumin. Parking is on the west side of the road.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings, we need to know how many people will be in attendance: please email roberta.buchanan@icloud.com if you are planning to attend, as we may need to limit the number attending.
Lambton Wildlife Inc. is committed to reducing the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. This event will follow all recommended procedures and protocols as set out by health officials, including physical distancing (at least 6 feet) between participants, and where this is not possible a mask must be worn.
Please do not attend this event if any of the following relate to you on the day of the event:
- Traveled, or been in close contact with anyone who has traveled, outside of Canada within the last 14 days;
- Come into contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19
- Have experienced any cold or flu-like symptoms in the last 14 days (including fever, cough, sore throat, respiratory illness, difficulty breathing)
- Have attended any mass gatherings in the last 14 days where proper health and safety protocols were not used
