LWI Environmental Award
Max Morden received the Lambton Wildlife Environmental Award at the LWI 2023 Annual General Meeting on behalf of The Lakeshore Eco Network. The Lakeshore Eco Network is a motivated group of people on the Huron coast working to plant native species and fight climate change. They are advocating for an environmental advisory committee in Lambton Shores, and were recentlyout in the rain at a rally to draw attention to policy changes in Ontario that endanger farmland, wetlands, and other natural areas. Thank you Lakeshore Eco Nework for all of the work you do!
President’s Honour Roll
These people cannot be board members. They are members at large who have contributed to the club, our “unsung heroes.”
John Cooke is a Lambton Wildlife member and the chair of the Bird Friendly Sarnia initiative. This project has many enthusiastic bird-loving people involved and John has put in countless hours to direct their efforts.
Mike Kent has been the leader of the Young Naturalist Program. He also actively participates on both the indoor and nomination committees, suggesting indoor speakers and new board members. When you admire the printed LWI brochure he produced, you will see evidence that he is a multi-talented individual.
