October 14th— Are You “Shore” That’s Birding?

Forest Sewage Lagoons

10am — noon

Shorebirds are a group of spectacular birds that collectively have a similar lifestyle and thus similar general shape and body. They include species with some of the longest migrations known with stops from the high arctic to beautiful beaches south. So why stop somewhere man-made and so smelly?! Come learn why sewage lagoons can be birding hotspots and learn some play games to help with your shorebird identification.
