Lambton Wildlife Indoor Events will now be held at the Sarnia Library Theatre, 124 Christina St. S., Sarnia. Presentations will start at 7:00 pm. Desperation not Conservation

Craig Patterson, Manager of Biology with the SCRCA, examines their attempt to save one of Canada’s most endangered freshwater turtles. All 8 of Ontario’s native turtles are listed as species at risk. Major threats include habitat loss, road mortalities, and egg predation, leading to population declines. Captive Hatch and Release Programs are a vital tool in the preservation and persistence of at-risk turtles in the wild, but are they enough?
