Hawk Cliff
September 22, 2018 @ 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Saturday, September 22, 2018
Meet: 8:30 am at the Lambton Mall parking lot near Canadian Tire or 10 am at Hawk Cliff.
Join LWI on their trip to Hawk Cliff, one of the best places in the province to view raptors and monarchs as they migrate south to their wintering grounds.
The weekend is going to be full of free events, from guided hikes, live-bird demos, hawk banding, monarch tagging and other educational programs. Last year 1000’s of raptors were counted over this weekend. This is typically when the largest volumes of September migrants are seen, so come and join us for some great hawkwatching! Special thanks go out to the St Thomas Field Naturalist Club (STFNC), the Hawk Cliff Banders, and volunteers of Monarch Watch for hosting this year’s event.
Young Naturalists (ages 6-11) will be lead by Mike & Anne so bring your whole family to enjoy the early fall migration of raptors!
