Outdoor Event Registration:
We are currently developing guidelines for on-line event registrations. Due to Covid restrictions, attendance may be limited to 10 participants for Outdoor Events. An email will be sent to all active members 2 weeks prior to each event providing a link to sign up on Eventbrite. The number of available spaces will be indicated based upon Covid protocols at the time. Due to limited space, we ask that you sign up for a maximum of 2 events in 2021. There is no fee to use this service.
Please note: For overnight events, members must directly contact the listed contact for each event.
The following events have been cancelled: Spring Wildflowers (May 1), Camping on Pelee Island (May 6-9) and Migration in Canatara Park (May 12)

LWI Annual General Meeting And Banquet

LWI MEMBERS ONLY
When: Saturday, April 13, 2019
Where: Camlachie United Church
Cost: $20 per ticket ($9 for children 14 and under) – *Available until Tuesday, April 9th.*
The business meeting and general elections are at 4:30 pm. The bucket draw opens at 5:00 pm. Then the delicious dinner is served at 6:00 pm.
Program:
“Shirley’s Box: the Highgate Mastodon Story”
Shirley Fenton discovered a biscuit box containing teeth and a tusk while clearing out her parents’ attic in Highgate Ontario. Extinct ice-age megafauna like mastodons once roamed in Ontario. Learn what a mysterious box in an attic has to do with Ontario’s spectacular ice age history from Peter Russell, UWaterloo’s Earth Science Museum Curator Emeritus.
