Outdoor Event Registration:

We are currently developing guidelines for on-line event registrations. Due to Covid restrictions, attendance may be limited to 10 participants for Outdoor Events. An email will be sent to all active members 2 weeks prior to each event providing a link to sign up on Eventbrite. The number of available spaces will be indicated based upon Covid protocols at the time. Due to limited space, we ask that you sign up for a maximum of 2 events in 2021. There is no fee to use this service.

Please note: For overnight events, members must directly contact the listed contact for each event.

The following events have been cancelled: Spring Wildflowers (May 1),  Camping on Pelee Island (May 6-9)  and Migration in Canatara Park (May 12)

Online registration will remain in place until further notice.

Ssss! – slimy, scaly, secretive and species at risk! We have a diversity of reptiles and amphibians here but some can be hard to find. Learn some tips and tricks on how to find them and how to use your cell phone to be a part of science.

Where to Meet

Moore Habitat Management Area.
Bickford Line, Wilkesport. East of Kimball Sideroad.

What to bring –

  • water
  • sunblock and insect repellent (wash hands thoroughly after application for the sake of our amphibians)
  • hat
  • reptile/amphibian field guide
  • Ontario Nature – Ontario Reptile and Amphibian Atlas (ORRA) App (free – optional)
  • pen/pencil & notepad
