Outdoor Event Registration:

We are currently developing guidelines for on-line event registrations. Due to Covid restrictions, attendance may be limited to 10 participants for Outdoor Events. An email will be sent to all active members 2 weeks prior to each event providing a link to sign up on Eventbrite. The number of available spaces will be indicated based upon Covid protocols at the time. Due to limited space, we ask that you sign up for a maximum of 2 events in 2021. There is no fee to use this service.

Please note: For overnight events, members must directly contact the listed contact for each event.

The following events have been cancelled: Spring Wildflowers (May 1),  Camping on Pelee Island (May 6-9)  and Migration in Canatara Park (May 12)

Online registration will remain in place until further notice.

September 23rd—Trail Construction and Maintenance with Lambton Shores Nature Trails @ Lambton County Heritage Forest 10am—3pm

In order for humans to enjoy nature while minimizing the impacts on the environment, careful consideration and planning is required. Get involved with the Lambton Shore Nature Trails (LSNT) to help with trail construction and maintenance at one of Lambton County’s hidden natural gems.

Pack a lunch, snacks and water for the day.

Schedule:  

10:00 AM 
– Meet at Port Franks Community Centre Pavilion for LSNT Orientation (Our WHY, Our Goals, Our Accomplishments)
10:20 AM
– View Trailhead and discuss on-site LSNT Projects (Trailhead Log-Structure, ‘Green Tunnel’ Tree Planting & Mud Creek Pedestrian Suspension Bridge Proposal)
10:30 AM
– Paint ‘Trail Blazes’ and clear vegetation along Tulip Trail (Bring water & snacks – LSNT will provide tools, paint & guidance)
12:30 PM
– Have lunch at Port Franks Community Centre Pavilion & hand out LSNT Trail Maps
  (Bring your own lunch – LSNT will provide Refreshments)
1:00 PM
– Climb ‘Sandhill’ at corner of Hwy 21 & Port Franks Road
1:00 – 3:00pm
– Interpretive Hike w/ Mike (optional)
