Our Board of Directors

Wanda Brown-Maxfield
President
Wanda received her BA in psychology (1987) and her Honours BSW (2017) from Western University, London ON. She has been fortunate to know and appreciate the howling of wolves and the haunting wail of the loon while exploring the back country of Algonquin Park and the lovely evening crooning of the Whip-poor-will during summer stays at the cottage near Warkworth. Brandy Fenwick

Brandy Fenwick moved to Lambton County in 2013 from Sudbury after completing her graduate studies in insect-plant relationships. She has connected with other like-minded nature-appreciators thanks to Lambton Wildlife, which helped to shape a sense of community in a new place. She has previously served on the board from 2017 to 2021, including as President in 2019-20. As a mom of young kids, she and her family also enjoy the Young Naturalists Club in hopes of inspiring another generation.

John (Jack) Inch

Jack got his introduction to Ontario’s natural surroundings growing up on a beef farm in the Sault Ste Marie area.
Farming required a good practical understanding of the area’s environment. Completion of post secondary education in agriculture and a better understanding of farm economics led Jack to a career in Ontario Hydro/Hydro One. In his 33 years as a Lineman and Instructor, Jack observed much of Ontario’s flora and fauna, even sheltering under some of it in bad weather.
In 2019 Jack acquired some new “unstructured “ time in retirement and sought out an organization with similar interests. Finding Lambton Wildlife Incorporated and the depth of knowledge its members have allows Jack a chance to explore and learn more about the many nuances of Lambton County.

George MacDermid

Life long resident of Lambton County. Grew up on a small farm and as a young boy I loved spending a saturday roaming around the woods at the back of the farm with my dog. Around 2008 , I started thinking about a post career hobby that would fit in with travelling . By chance I took a short walk with a bird guide on a trip and became immediately fascinated with birding . Returning home I keep seeing new birds and wondering why I didn't notice them before. Birding has taken me around the world to places I never would have visited , about 50 countries so far.
