Lambton Wildlife is excited to participate in a fundraising campaign to purchase property adjacent to Sydenham River Nature Reserve, thus expanding the size of the reserve. This ecologically significant area provides important habitat for an incredible number of species, including many species at risk.

This property is in the Carolinian Forest – one of the most developed and biodiverse parts of our province. The area is home to over 38 at-risk species including the Cerulean Warbler and the Red-headed Woodpecker. It’s a mixture of old-growth forest, developed farmland and forest wetland habitat. The property is a sight to behold, and we can’t wait to explore it with you!

Lambton Wildlife and Sydenham Field Naturalists have partnered with Ontario Nature to raise $625,000 by December to purchase this property and expand the Sydenham Nature Reserve. View Press Release.
